Hayley Group Limited are looking for an experienced Internal Legal Counsel to join our well-established and experienced team at our headquarters in Halesowen. The candidate will provide commercial legal advice and support on a range of issues, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while minimising risk to the company. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

Responsibilities for our Internal Legal Counsel will include:

  • Lead on a variety of legal matters, with the primary focus on customer and strategic supplier agreements and standard terms.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analyse complex legal issues.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and industry regulations and advise the Board and relevant parties accordingly.

Skills & Attributes we’re looking for in our Internal Legal Counsel:

  • Well-versed in legal terminology and operations
  • Experience drafting legal documents 
  • Strong understanding of commercial law
  • Critical thinking and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret legal terms to all audiences

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience drafting legal documents 
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar role
  • Bachelors degree in Law or related field
  • Ability to work with others and independently 
  • Knowledge of internal and external business practices and operations
