Our client is looking for a Senior Inventory Specialist to join their well-established and expanding Purchasing team based at their headquarters in Halesowen.

About the role:

As Senior Inventory Specialist your primary responsibility will be managing purchasing/stock for the Tools and Industrial range.

Key responsibilities as Senior Inventory Specialist will include:

  • Executing orders at the specified level in accordance with system processes. 
  • Proactive expediting ensuring on-time delivery of stocked parts to our Central Warehouse.   
  • Conducting monthly inventory profiling, which includes reviews for exception management. 
  • Employing relevant metrics to evaluate the key performance of our suppliers and formulating enhancement strategies through periodic supplier reviews, as needed, to enhance product availability. 
  • Ensuring precise delivery date accuracy by employing effective order book management. 
  • Liaising closely with other functions to ensure the success of catalogue launches and promotional initiatives. 
  • Minimising excess and obsolete stock and actioning contractual stock cleanses. 
  • Ensuring continuous improvement of ‘housekeeping’ standards with regards to the maintenance of data, resolution of queries generated by Suppliers, Goods In, Accounts etc. 
  • Working proactively to resolve product shortages through effective escalation and resourcing. 
  • Collaborate with the relevant branches to resolve internal order or stock queries.  

Skills we're looking for in Senior Inventory Specialist:

  • Educated to A-Level Standard or equivalent or can demonstrate experience in a similar function. 
  • Experience in supplier management; competent in designing, developing and executing improvement plans. 
  • Demonstrates proficient communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey, receive, and accurately interpret ideas effectively. 
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
